Why people use Overlappy
Everyone gets their own link
Answers stay put. Nobody can change someone else's times by accident.
Free, or if needed
People can say a time suits them, or that they could make it work. Both count, one counts more.
We tell you when everyone's in
Once the last person answers, you get an email with the best few times ready to pick.
Straight into your calendar
Pick a time and it lands in your Google Calendar. Anyone that supplies an email gets a proper invite.
Their time zone, not yours
Everyone sees the grid in their own local time, so nobody has to do the maths.
Made for a thumb
Most people answer from a group chat on their phone. Tap, or hold and drag to fill a whole evening.

Frequently asked questions
Is Overlappy free?
Yes. Creating events, inviting people and booking the time are all free. The site shows a few small, clearly labelled ads to cover hosting, and they never sit on the grid where people mark their times.
Do the people I invite need an account?
No. They open their link and tap the times that work. Only the person organising signs in, with Google, so their events stay private to them.
What does "if needed" mean?
It's for times that aren't ideal but would work at a push. Tap a time once for free and twice for if needed. When ranking times, a free counts as one person and an if needed counts as half.
What happens when everyone has answered?
We email you with the best few times. Open the event, tap the one you want, and it's confirmed. If you set a deadline, you get that email on the deadline even if someone hasn't answered.
Can I see who can make which time?
Yes. Tap any time on the grid to see who is free, who could make it if needed, and who has not answered yet.
Does it work across time zones?
Yes. Each person sees the grid in their own local time, and the confirmed time shows up correctly in everyone's calendar.
How is Overlappy different from When2meet?
When2meet has been around for years and does the basic job well. Overlappy adds personal links, an 'if needed' option, an email when everyone has answered, booking straight into your calendar, and a grid that is easy to use on a phone.
What do you do with my Google account?
Signing in shares your name and email, nothing else. When you confirm a time and choose to add it to your calendar, Google asks you once for calendar access, which we use only to create, move or delete that event.
Can answers be anonymous?
Yes. Tick 'Keep answers anonymous' when you create the event. Everyone, you included, then sees how many people are free at each time but not who. You can still see who has answered, so you know who to nudge.
Can I add someone after sending the links?
Yes. Add them from the event page and they get their own link. You can also remove people, or turn on a single group link for a group chat, and even let people add themselves through it.
How long do you keep events?
Events are deleted 30 days after the meeting. If no time is ever picked, they are deleted 60 days after the last possible date.
